DAY 1 & 2 – ISTANBUL, TURKEY
Indulge your eyes and senses in this magnificent city astride two continents. Visit beautiful Topkapi Palace, the awesome Hagia Sophia and the impressive Blue Mosque. Cruise the Bosphorus to see the city and its surroundings from another perspective. Visit one of the many museums or stroll through the spice market and the famous Grand Bazaar.
DAY 3 – EPHESUS (KUSADASI), TURKEY
Meander through the ruins of ancient Ephesus and marvel at the famed Library of Celsus, the huge amphitheater, the marble roads with their chariot marks, the amazing mosaic sidewalks and the superb, rarely opened Terrace Houses. Or journey to three monumental cities of antiquity – Priene, Miletus and Didyma – renowned for their majestic temples and impressive, beautifully preserved stadiums
DAY 4 – ATHENS (PIRAEUS), GREECE
Climb up the magnificent Acropolis and stand in awe of the Parthenon, the beautiful temples and the view over Athens stretched out before you. See city highlights including the new and old Olympic stadiums. Journey to Cape Sounion and the temple of Poseidon overlooking the sea, or visit ancient Corinth and the narrow Corinth Canal cut through miles of solid rock.
DAY 5 – CHANIA (CRETE), GREECE
Chania wears its past on its sleeve. Spend the day in museums, from those uncovering the ancient history buried beneath the rocky soil to those celebrating Greece’s magnificent maritime history and the region’s unique folklore. Visit the ruins of the city-state of Aptera, a powerhouse in Minoan and Hellenistic times and eventually a Roman stronghold.
DAY 6 – ARGOSTOLI (CEPHALONIA), GREECE
This capital of the island of Cephalonia resides in a sheltered bay along Koutavos Lagoon, where you might catch a glimpse of a loggerhead turtle. The stone obelisk of the Drapano Bridge and the Lighthouse of Saint Theodore are two of the island’s distinctive landmarks. Discover relics from the Mycenaean, Hellenistic and Roman periods in the city’s archaeological museum.
DAY 7 – KOTOR, MONTENEGRO
Kotor is a beautiful walled medieval city of twisting, pink-paved streets, markets and architecture reflecting Byzantine to Venetian influences. Stroll through the compact old town, admire the impressive walls and tour the imposing St. Tryphon Cathedral, consecrated in 1166.
DAY 8 – DUBROVNIK, CROATIA
Enjoy a walk through this famous walled medieval city and its exquisite Venetian monuments. See the Franciscan monastery and explore the Rector’s palace and the cathedral. Or explore the countryside with a visit to lovely Cavtat, an enchanting seaside resort that began life as a Greek and then Roman colony. Then visit a local family in a Konavle Valley village and enjoy their hospitality over a traditional welcome of brandy and figs with a serenade by local musicians.
DAY 9 – SPLIT, CROATIA
Sometime around 300 A.D., Roman Emperor Diocletian built his retirement palace on one of the loveliest spots on the Adriatic Sea. Today his palace has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of Split, the city that grew up around it. Split is now Croatia’s second largest city, and much of it sits on a beautiful peninsula on the island of Ciovo, a jewel on the Dalmatian Coast. Many intriguing relics from the Roman, Greek colonial and Medieval periods can be found in Split’s archaeological museum, which was founded in 1820, making it Croatia’s oldest museum. One of the top outdoor attractions is the green oasis of Marjan Forest Park with its Split Zoo. There are also plenty of fine beaches nearby.
DAY 10 – KOPER, SLOVENIA
Originally built on an island surrounded by swampland that was later drained, Koper was known as “Goat’s Island” when it was under Venetian rule. Today the once fortified Old Town of Venetian-influenced Koper has retained much of its grand architecture from the 15th to 18th centuries. The Praetor’s Palace, a blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles, proudly rises above the gray limestone main square. Nearby the Postojna Caves are the most popular underground attraction in Europe, and the Predjama Castle was carved out of a limestone cliff.
DAY 11 – TRIESTE, ITALY
Situated at the crossroads of Latin, Slavic and Germanic cultures, Trieste invites visitors to discover new palaces, piazzas and cathedrals around every corner. Along the canal, the gilded Serbian Orthodox Church of San Spiridione is juxtaposed with the neoclassical Catholic Church of Sant’Antonio Nuovo. A walk along the harbor takes you to Trieste’s majestic main square, Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, and on to the Museo Revoltella, the opulent palace of a wealthy baron. Not to be missed is the Castello di Miramare, Archduke Maximilian’s gleaming castle situated on a rocky promontory north of the city.

The Grand Dining Room
The grande dame of the Oceania Cruises culinary world, The Grand Dining Room evokes the glamour of a bygone era. Ringed by shimmering walls of glass and glistening marble, soft sunset hues and richly paneled walls create an ethereal ambiance. Tables are beautifully set with European bone china, sparkling Riedel crystal, gleaming silver and fine cotton linens. The magnificence that follows is as stunning as the decor. While the founding Executive Culinary Director Jacques Pépin’s herb-crusted rotisserie chicken is legendary, a cornucopia of global journeys awaits as well – fork-tender tournedos Rossini with decadent foie gras and truffle sauce, buttery salmon tartare with lemony sushi rice, an impossibly rich lobster bisque with silky notes of Armagnac cream. In The Grand Dining Room, the world is your oyster every night.
Grand Dining Room
Jacques
Enter the latest iteration of Jacques, the eminent Jacques Pépin’s only restaurant to bear his name on land or sea, and you will be instantly struck by the sensory pleasures. Luscious aromas waft from the open kitchen, where duck, pork, chicken and veal roasts slowly turn, sealing in their succulent flavors. Handsomely decorated with rich fabrics and art from Jacques’ personal collection, it resembles a classic Parisian bistro. Exceedingly comfortable and clubby, the ambiance is pure French, as is the cosmopolitan yet approachable cuisine.
Chef Pépin has taken the classics, deconstructed them, and then ingeniously re-created each remarkable dish. This is coq au vin beyond the imagination, as you have never tasted it before. Rotisserie-roasted chicken falls off the bone, bursting with flavor. His steak frites pairs the succulence of prime beef with the crisp sweetness of pommes de terre. At Jacques, simple, classic French cuisine becomes incredibly elegant and, of course, absolutely magnifique.
Polo Grill
Polo Grill is simply timeless; a traditional intimate setting that personifies a classic steakhouse, courtesy of its crisp, white linen tablecloths, warm tones and dark-wood furnishings upholstered in richly textured fabrics. Each course is a consummate expression of time-honored favorites. Savor a succulent colossal shrimp cocktail, followed by lobster bisque topped with morsels of roasted lobster. Or enjoy a fresh Caesar salad prepared tableside.
Delight in knowing that all of the beef dishes – such as the signature Bone-In Prime Rib – are USDA-certified Angus beef, specially aged for flavor and tenderness. Other magnificent classics include surf and turf, featuring a grilled lobster tail and tender filet mignon, and whole Maine lobster gratinée.
Polo Grill
Red Ginger
Red Ginger makes an immediate and powerful statement with its stunning, bold decor. Rich tones of cinnamon, jade and polished ebony woods are accented by intricately etched glass screens. To complement the stunning interior, Red Ginger’s chefs have created a striking menu, noted for its contemporary interpretations of Asian classics. You might begin with a salad of roast duck and watermelon with cashews, mint and Thai basil. Savor a nutty braised beef Malay curry with coconut rice and paratha roti, or Asian-spiced rack of lamb with kohlrabi, creamed spinach and truffle oil. For dessert, green tea banana cake with toffee and hazelnut sauce served with coconut ice cream is the perfect ending. In Red Ginger, the gustatory pleasures are as striking as the visual ones.
Toscana
Beautiful scenes of the fertile Tuscan countryside adorn Toscana, an artistic expression of the authentic dining experience awaiting guests. Simple yet keenly balanced, Tuscan cuisine evolved from rich family traditions, epitomized within Toscana, where many of the recipes originated with the grandmothers and mothers of our own Italian culinary staff. Presented on elegant, custom-designed Versace china, each dish is a masterpiece that exemplifies the essence of Tuscany. Relish antipasti like carpaccio of beef topped with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano or sautéed jumbo scampi tenderly wrapped in Proscuitto san Daniele. Enjoy a traditional porcini mushroom risotto with caramelized shallots and fresh thyme. Savor delectable entrées such as a tender bone-in milk-fed veal chop grilled to perfection and topped with sautéed porcini wild mushroom sauce.
