What is The Cormorant at 55 South?
Located in Puerto Williams, this stay has been designed to act as a first stop on your next Antarctic adventure. Whilst this is supposed to be experienced in conjunction with a Silversea expedition, The Cormorant at 55 South isn’t a mere extension of the Silversea onboard experience. It’s a distinctive travel experience in and of itself. Still, guests will notice the hotel embraces Silversea’s signature design traits with a notable connection to the destination, light, and spatial generosity. You can expect high ceilings, expansive windows, as well as open interiors that provide front-row seats to cinematic views of the Beagle Channel and the dramatic peaks of Patagonia. Here, the outdoors aren’t a backdrop, they’re the centrepiece.
Admire architecture and interiors that draw from local materials, such as woods from the regional Andean forests. Warmth and texture combine and ground the contemporary design in a way that still feels refined and intimate.
